Good afternoon for everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I am 40 years old, weigh 105 kg, and underwent minimally invasive surgery in October 2023 to replace my aortic valve with a mechanical one. Since then, I have been doing well and going to the gym without... Read more.
As my long departed grandmother used to say, take the elevator. Those are technical questions for your cardiologist, who knows your heart.
Mohammed, you should tell these symptoms to your cardiologist. He may be able to change medications to make you feel better. It can be scary when you have any heart symptom. Since surgery, I sometimes think wale are more aware of changes which is a good thing.

Hi everyone, Hope you're all doing well. I had my aortic valve replaced with a mechanical valve back in October 2023. Prior to the surgery, l had severe aortic regurgitation (leakage),but now everything is good. Today, I had another echo. Overall, things still look good, but I noticed that my... Read more.
Hey M.A., in answering your issue, first of all I think that your cardiologist oppinion is the best and prima on this. To tell you my point of view all will depend on the grade of the hypoactivity of the ventricle, so it is not the same if the hypofunction... Read more.

It looks like many parameters are into the range of normality, so not to be too much worry, but the fact of the anteroseptal Wall hypokinesia worths to pay attention on It.
To confirm, i am going to gym and i do not have related issues. Do you think this is silent issue?,
I can not tell you anything specific about, but under my patient point of view, any heart issue even being mild in its appearances is worth to look at by a specialist. Perhaps it can be solved simply with a drug conservative treatment given by the cardiologist.
I agree. Ask the doctor who ordered the ECHO.

Hello everyone,Does anyone with a mechanical heart valve eat pomegranate, orange, or lemon? Are there any precautions to take with these fruits while on warfarin?
Mohammed - I was only on blood thinners for three months after surgery, but blackberries had a big effect on my INR. I suggest you check with your cardiologist before you make any major changes to your diet. My understanding is that you could eat anything, but you need to... Read more.
