About Me

I am almost 25 years old and just had a Ross Procedure performed by Dr. Vaughn Starnes at USC. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve that has been narrowing throughout my childhood. I thought I'd last longer before needing a replacement but the time came a bit earlier than expected. I decided that the Ross procedure was my best option due to new studies suggesting the best quality of life and life expectancy compared to a mechanical valve.
