After living with mild and asymptomatic mitral valve stenosis for most of my life, I developed afib and had a stroke in 2022. I had a valvuloplasty in early 2023 but its benefits only lasted for 4 months or so. Next step: valve replacement with maze procedure and left atrial appendage closure!
