There is an excellent article on the Cleveland clinic web page on the advantages and disadvantages of robotic surgery in general. More advantages i would say. There is a doctor behind the joystick however. Always get a second opinion and pick a doctor that does a high number of your particular procedure. I did not get a second opinion but it was in the middle of covid and i was lucky to find anyone. My guy had high grades in mitral valves however in my research. Plus my cardiologist said he was the best in boston. I’m still alive at 84 so thats good. I still work out, walk the dog, attend car shows and work full time. All good. My recent turp surgery has proven to be more of a pain than my ohs.
