My journey starts.
Routine physical with my family Dr a murmur was detected. Echocardiograph was done and then cardiologist gave me the truly shocking news
I am a 58 yo male and I have been diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. (Oct 14 2025). I do not any severe symptoms. Cardiologist said that "you need a new heart valve". Took the time to suggest that we are not there yet but probably in the next couple of years. Also said because of age (58) that a mechanical value would probably be best and that it would be installed by the regular surgical method.
I am scared.
I have now a new cardiologist. Much better than the first,
