Drove up to NYC this wek to meet with Dr. George at NYP. Echo and CTA were done, then the consult. Mini sternotomy is a possibility. Debating on joining the Cardiogard Cannula study. Tentative surgery date is Oct. 23, pending on getting dental clearance. I need to make an appt... Read more.

A friend of mine back from vacation and has cousin's in the surgical field, so I've gotten a few recommendations from her, and NY Presbyterian called me and I'm getting a referral to a surgeon there. Looks like I'm be spending a week or so in the NYC area visiting... Read more.

Just found out a week ago that my aortic stenosis has progressed from moderate to severe. Spent a solid 36 hours fearing for my future and what it holds. Stress test 5 months ago came back normal Having to wait a month before seeing the dr is nerve wracking. Living... Read more.

Hi Kevin, I’d definitely recommend traveling if you can manage it. I plan to travel to Mount Sinai to see Dr. El Hamamsy for the Ross procedure. There are many resources out there. It’s hard not to worry or stress but have faith. Modern medicine is pretty amazing these days.... Read more.

Just looked into Mt Sinai, and made a video appt with Dr. Sherry Megalla. If things work out, hopefully I can have the surgery on LI and stay with my cousin 40 minutes away to recover.
