I am scheduled for a minimally invasive mitral valve repair on 10/12/26 using a mini right thoracotomy incision. My question is regarding the best post op bra to purchase. I see that there are many on the market. Any recommendations would be very appreciated. Thank you so much!

The bras I found most comfortable post surgery were the brand Anita, style Lynn which I found at the Bare Necessities website. It has zip front, with one hook to secure before zipping and zip has a cover on it. The other one the hospital provided several and they worked... Read more.

I have a CT Angiogram scheduled on 8/26 to make sure my arteries are ok for the bypass machine for my minimally invasive mitral valve repair scheduled for 10/12. I nervous about it. What happens if my femoral artery can’t accommodate the catheter for bypass?!

Hi Lori, I was reading they have a couple different ways they can use. Im having my ct on September 23. I hope we both will get the surgery we want.

I believe they would do a sternotomy then. My femoral was close to being too small but it made it. I was so scared of them having to open my chest. But after all was done, there are pros and cons to each. One con is that I can't really... Read more.
