Hi sorry its taken so long to answer your question . My first artificial valve was bovine. Dr said it would last 15-20 years. Well it didn’t. It was destroyed by a blood infection and endocarditis in 18 months. My second valve is also bovine. I just had my 4 year anniversary of it being replaced. Hi Mohammed , my cardiologist wanted me to have a transoesophageal echocardiogram ( TEE) so he make  have a better examination of my heart pre surgery and before I was seen by the heart surgeon . I had all my tests done as an inpatient because I had been admitted as an emergency . Your needs might be different .

Quite a few people have had that valve , people who have been posting pre and post op on the website but don’t often post a long time afterwards or are off doing other things . They are on a lower dose of anticoagulant ( as far as I remember ). 

Generally speaking, tissue valves will not last as long in younger patients like yourself.That is why mechanical valves are encouraged for younger patients. If you cannot have the Ross Procedure  done, a mechanical valve may be your best option to avoid further surgeries. You will have to take warfarin (Coumadin) for life to prevent blood clots. Hey Mohammed, I also recently joined here and saw some of your concerns. I wanted to let you know that I also was diagnosed with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve with severe regurgitation and on top of that it got infected as well. After doing a ton of research and reading blogs, videos, etc... I discussed with my surgeon, and he recommended the ROSS procedure. I am not sure how old you are but the ROSS procedure seems to be the better option for younger patients. I am 2 weeks after post operation and currently recovering. if you have any questions or concerns please do not hestitate to ask, I have been in your situation just like everyone else here and know what it feels like, and it can be tough, so your not alone. let me know if you have any questions. be safe.

A fib is a very irregular rhythm of your heart beat. If you have afib, your heart rate will vary greatly. Escape beats can sometimes be intermittent, but the underlying rhythm is regular. Escape beats can be either atrial or ventricular in origin. I hope that answers your questions.

You can find all the informations about surgeons there! It was very easy to reach them and arrange the surgery. I paid from the pockett. My surgery won't be robotic, but minimally invasive, it's not the same, but it's similar (so no sternotomy, only small cut on the right side of thorax, but also fine instruments, only no acctual robot). By what I see, I think they could handle your situation, but see for yourself ofcourse. I suggest you watch all the educational videos on this website of Adam's ... Take it easy, one step at a time, good luck :)
P.s. you asked whether my valve will be repaired or replaced. Well, plan is repairment. If they don't succeed to repair it, then they will replace it... Mitral valves are 90% repairable.
