Send Jennifer a NoteAbout Me
I was diagnosed with a heart murmur in my mid 20's, then had an echo. At the time, I didn't appear to have any leakage, regurgitation, etc. I wasn't told I had to do anything to follow up, so…I didn't. Twenty five or so years later, my GP was listening to my hear during a routine visit. She was aware of my murmur and bicuspid valve, but something she heard was different. She referred me to a cardiologist and scheduled an echo. The echo showed moderate stenosis on the aortic valve. Numerous tests and almost two years later, my stenosis is severe and I have an aortic valve replacement scheduled.
