Great news! In connection with the rollout of HeartValveSurgery.com 6.0, I am excited to announce the launch of a new Instant Messenger designed exclusively to help patients and caregivers connect privately throughout their heart valve journeys.

Instant Messenger for Heart Valve Patients

With the new Instant Messenger, public interactions in our online community can now develop into private one-on-one conversations. Patients can ask questions, exchange helpful information and strengthen relationships with others who understand the challenges and opportunities of heart valve disease management, treatment and recovery. This new service represents another important step in our mission to educate and empower patients while providing a safe, trusted environment for connection and support.

Key Features of Instant Messaging

Here are a few highlights of the new instant messaging service:

  • Turn public interactions into private conversations: Patients and caregivers can continue meaningful discussions in a private, one-on-one setting.

  • Strengthen patient relationships: Patients can build deeper connections with others who understand the heart valve journey.

  • Stay connected without leaving the platform: Conversations take place directly within HeartValveSurgery.com, making it easy to communicate in one trusted location.

By making it easier for patients and caregivers to communicate privately, HeartValveSurgery.com is creating new opportunities for education, encouragement and meaningful connections. Whether someone is newly diagnosed, preparing for treatment, recovering from surgery or supporting a loved one, instant messaging can help them receive timely insights and support from people who have been through similar experiences.

How To Use Instant Messaging?

The new instant messaging service is now available to all registered members of our Community. When you login to our Community, you will see the “Private Messages” button in the bottom section of your screen. Simply click that button and you will immediately access the messaging feature. If you are not a member of our Community yet, it’s free to sign-up. Click here to join our Community.

Private Direct Messaging for Heart Valve Disease

As your privacy remains a key concern for our team, I want you to know that you do not need to use the new instant messaging service. To turn-off the new feature, simply toggle-off "Direct Messages" in your privacy settings (shown below).

Thanks For The Idea!

I want to thank all the patients in our Community who requested this new service. Your feedback has been so important and helpful for the ongoing build-out of the HeartValveSurgery.com platform which started all the way back in 2006.

By combining trusted educational resources, expert information and peer-to-peer communications, my goal is to help patients become more informed, more connected and more empowered throughout every stage of their heart valve journey.
