Woo-Hoo!!!

We just launched the sixth generation of the HeartValveSurgery.com platform. As part of this global relaunch, I wanted to make several meaningful improvements to our online Community based on your feedback over the years. That said, here is video that describes the new Community features!

What Are The "Top 8" Community Updates?

As you will see, there are over 20 new updates to the Community. With that in mind, I'm excited to share the "Top 8" updates we've made.

  • Visual Guestbook Connections: For the first time, Guestbook interactions now include visual relationship indicators that help everyone see who is supporting whom throughout the community. We hope this feature strengthens the connections that make our community so special.

  • New Photo Galleries: For years, patients have asked for the ability to share multiple photos within their posts and comments. Good news — you can now upload up to 10 photos in a single post, making it easier than ever to share your journey with others.

  • Smart Link Recognition: Patients in our community love sharing helpful information. Our new link recognition system makes it easier to share articles, posts, videos, and other resources while creating a cleaner and more engaging experience.

  • Enhanced Onscreen Editor: The editor you use to create posts and comments has been completely upgraded. The new rich-text editor makes it easier to share your experiences while providing instant access to emojis and photos.

  • Faster Notifications: Our notification system received a significant upgrade. Using new asynchronous technologies, notifications now appear much faster and update automatically in less than 60 seconds without requiring you to refresh your screen.

  • Blog Comment Integration: For the first time, your Community login now works seamlessly with our blog comment system. If you're already logged into the Community, you can participate in blog discussions without needing to sign in to a separate platform.

  • Design Enhancements: We've refreshed the design of the Community to make it cleaner, faster, and easier to use. Whether you're accessing the site from a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, the experience should feel more intuitive and responsive.

  • Improved Privacy Controls: Protecting your privacy is incredibly important. That's why we've added new privacy settings that give you more control over the information you share and the communications you receive.

What's Next? What Are Your Ideas?

While we're excited about these enhancements, we're not done yet. Coming soon, we plan to launch direct messaging and live chat functionality to help patients connect with one another in even more meaningful ways.

And now... I'd love to hear from you. If you have ideas for improving the Community, please share them in the comments below or email me directly at adam@heartvalvesurgery.com.

Thank you for being part of this incredible community. I hope these new features help support your journey to a healthy heart.
