Carmen P Hi Valerie. I've been reading your journal and wanted to thank you. I'm having surgery similar to yours and reading about your experience at the Cleveland Clinic and what to expect, was what I needed. When you stayed after your hospital release, did you have any trouble getting a hotel reservation. Since I have no idea when I can expect to be discharged. I can guess, but that would be if I have no issues after surgery. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Valerie Allen Carmen - I’ve tried writing in your guestbook a few times but for some reason it won’t post! Are you traveling with someone? Wanted to be sure to have a place to recover comfortably when discharged and before flying home, so I reserved 2 weeks at the hotel connected to the hospital, the Intercontinental. That’s longer than most but I’m retired and didn’t want to stress. My husband stayed there while I was in the hospital, then I moved over on Day 9. I believe you can cancel until a day before, so if I felt like leaving earlier we could just cancel. But didn’t. There are others hotels close by. If you are flying be sure to secure a wheelchair for the flight home. Made it sooooo much easier. Please ask if you have more questions. You will do well and they take excellent care of you!

Carmen P Thanks Valerie. We visited CC in May for tests and to meet with Dr.Xu. After tests to verify the measurements done here, I was scheduled for surgery. I had researched and made Dr. Roselli my choice before my cardiologist told me "it was time".
