I'm home! Surgery went very well. 2 hours, and the surgeon said it was a "textbook" repair. I had a lot of nausea coming out of anesthesia which set me back a bit, dealing with dehydration and trying to find the right balances of medication. All in all, great experience... Read more.

Heading to UTSW today for pre-op testing! Actually glad it's all finally happening. My mom will accompany me today. I just completed my pre-op testing this morning. Very uneventful, now the wait. Wishing you the best, and a speedy recovery. Stay strong and keep a positive outlook.

Lauren! You are in great hands with Dr Doolhab and UT Southwestern. The whole process for me was seamless. His team made me feel that these procedures while serious are quite routine and it sure turned out that way. Some anxiety is normal but you will see once the surgery... Read more.

Best of luck. I'm sure you'll do great. This is the hardest part. I still can't believe I went and had OHS. The anxiety and fear are normal but you'll be fine. These Teams know what they're doing. In a month you'll be like. I did all that worrying for... Read more.
