Great to hear and hope your recovery goes well. Take it in steps and let it take time but try to move but also allow you to rest in between. I remember the pain but actually after some time and rehab and continuing after that my back, my neck got better after than it was before. Do not push too much. I really hope that the journey from now on is on the positive trajectory.

After my minimally invasive mitral valve repair surgery, I also felt like my recovery was slower than I had hoped. The soreness in my incision area lingered somewhat more than I expected and at times I felt a bit disappointed in my progress. Sometimes the combination of surgery and new meds to which the body isn’t accustomed can cause a “blah” feeling, like you’re just spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. I’m cheering your mom on and praying for all the discomfort to quickly subside. I’m glad you’re there with your mom. There’s no way around the fact that this is an ordeal for you both, but especially for her. I hope you feel the love and prayers from all of us!

Jessica, Thanks for the update and it warms my heart to see your mother recovering. Hopefully the pain will go away soon. I have said it before, the journey back is not always easy, it can be tough but all the small steps together suddenly becomes a giant leap and you just feel that is is so rewarding and positive. Keeeep on goiiiiiing!!!
