I think its electronic, should be a no brainer but in todays world, people can be lazy. Hopefully you visited them in person and laid the law down. I did it when changing pcp last year to another group in another city. They used an outside records firms. I finally said those are my records, not yours and i am not leaving till i get them. I was prepared to spend the night. I was not a happy camper. They finally assigned me a clerical person to print them out just to get rid of me. It was 50 pages. I got it and stopped at staples and made a copy for me. They were not happy but too bad so sad.

Thanks! We shouldn't have to struggle to get our medical records. This hospital outsourced records to another co in another state. CDs are not available at the site. There is no phone number listed anywhere and emails go unanswered. Just this week I was given a phone number by someone who had a co directory. Finally talked to a human and records are now being sent to surgeon - 6 weeks later. At least that's what I was told.
