Barb Edmonds  So glad you are on the other side! I am coming up on my two year anniversary of minimally invasive surgery. Unfortunately, I had to have my mitral valve replaced. I feel pretty certain that we have common post op experiences. You look great which makes me believe that you are doing very well. I mostly felt incredibly grateful just after surgery. I really stuck to my cardiac rehab plan and have been back to my regular exercise for over a year now. The beta blocker made me tired - I'm happy to report that I am no longer taking any meds for my heart. That was a huge boost in my confidence and released me from the fatigue. I feel better now than before my surgery (but I have to admit that my pre-surgery symptoms were not that bad). Because I have a bioprosthetic valve, I will have to stay in good shape to have another surgery down the road when it wears out. Keep up the positive attitude and walk, walk, walk!

Phyllis Petersen  Wow! You look great! I think I was still looking (and feeling) pretty tired by this point in my recovery. Keep up the good work!

mara katz  I definitely get really tired by the end of the day. Also both of my kids had nasty colds which I now have. Lots of coughing not fun! Also slammed a door on my hand I think because of the medicines the bruising is crazy. In other news heart healing is going well!!

mara katz  Went home feel like I’m on a lot of medicines hopefully most will be temporary. Soo good to be in my own bed and unattached from all the wires!! Hopefully will sleep some now.

leslie terjesen  Speedy recovery to you. Is that a bottle of wine on your pillow? What a good choice of pictures. Last week, at 8 weeks post op, enjoyed my first glass, wait, two glasses, of wine!

mara katz  Thanks everyone for so long I looked at other photos of people with their heart and scar photos it’s hard to believe it’s officially behind me! One week anniversary today and I definitely still feel out of sorts. But I know I’m progressing in the right direction and it is most definitely a process. How did you all sleep I feel like it’s in spurts and then I wake up and have to change position or something. Also pain has been pretty steady but definitely not unbearable. I did spontaneously dance a little last night that made family very happy. How were your 1 week anniversaries ❤️💙🙏🏻👍🏻💪🏻
