Heart murmur at birth (bicuspid aortic valve). Valveotomy aged 10 in 1978. Aortic valve replacement in 2006 (SJM) & again in 2007 to repair a severe leak around valve. Unfortunately my St Jude Medical aortic valve has continued to leak to a point where it is now severe. Have angiogram, TOE & CT scans in the next few weeks to determine surgery date. I am a 51 year old husband and father of 2 young boys managing a beef property in rural South Australia.
