I’m Off To Edwards LifeSciences!!!

February 18th, 2008

Pretty great story to share!

Last week, I spoke with Edwards LifeSciences. As you may know, Edwards is one of the largest heart valve replacement manufacturers in the world.

Just how big is Edwards LifeSciences? Well, the company (which is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange) just reported sales of $293 million dollars during the last three months.

That’s a lot of heart valve replacement sales, right? Anyways, the story gets better…

I was lucky to be invited to tour Edwards’ facility in Irvine, California. After the tour, I am going to speak with one of their executives to learn more about their heart valve replacements and their new technologies.

I’m also interested to learn a little bit more about the recent Edwards LifeSciences lawsuit against CoreValve for patent infringement.

If you have any particular questions you want me to ask, feel free to send me an email at adam@heart-valve-surgery.com as soon as possible.

Keep on tickin!

Sounds like a great opportunity. That’s where my biological valve came from. How’s their warranty? Ha ha I need a lifetime one. Bill Mikkelsen, Orem, Utah

Adam,

Is there anything valve recipients can do to slow or halt calcium deposits that may develope. Any foos to avoid? Any vitamin supplements to avoid? How can we maximise the life expectancy of replacement tissue valves?

Regards,

Ken Delkescamp

Adam, I have just sent you an e-mail that is vital to me as it concerns your visit to Edwards. As you know – I had an Aortic Valve re-do in Nov. Everything went very well I am back to full strength in less than three months. But…I have questions similar to Ken Delkescamp: What went wrong with the first valve and how can I prevent failure in the second valve? I too want to maximize the life expectancy of my new valve.

Thank you for your help,

Jim Hayden
