First day after the valve repair. She's looking great and still in good spirit! Drainage tubes should be out later today or tomorrow. Still in the ICU due to low blood pressure, but should be out tomorrow. More to come!
Elaine Foster God bless you! You made it! Take it a day at a time. I am one year out, and your picture brought back memories- before long you will be looking back saying "Yes, I did it"
Those pillows and positioning are all too familiar. Best wishes for continued recovery!!
Kimberly Biddick They finally get you comfortable and positioned in the chair and then give you lasix, don't they! :)
Glad to see you doing well!
Wanda Mroz You look good! Seeing you brings back the memories. Take it easy one day at a time and each day you'll get stronger!
Elaine Cutri I recognize those Lidocaine strips! They were so helpful! You look great one day out. Congratulations!
Mitral valve repair was a success!!

Hello all, Wes here, son of Suzanne, posting on her behalf. She is out of the OR with a repaired valve!! I'm currently with her in the ICU. She looks great and is currently enjoying a helping of ice chips. She can hear very well and can speak softly. I asked her if she had any words for you all, and she mentioned that getting the breathing tube out after waking up was a great increase in comfort. And losing the face mask--a short amount of time after--was another improvement. That's it for now! More updates to come. Thank you all for your support. She's been extremely positive throughout which I believe is playing a large role in her continuing success.
Liz Burroughs That's great news!! I'm so glad that they were able to repair her valve! Best wishes for a complete recovery & I hope she feels better soon!
Lynee Casper That's great news, and the positive focus that helps you Suzanne is something I hope I can pull off too. Best to you, and have continued success in your recovery.
Kelly Weisgarber So glad surgery is over, thank you for the update. Hope she feels better every day.
Melinda Queliz Can't wait to read more about her successful recovery.
Glad to see you doing well!
