About Me

Hi, my name is Whitney and shortly before my 30th birthday I went to the doctor for something completely unrelated to my heart when my medical doctor heard a murmur. He then sent me to a cardiologist where I had to get a echo, TEE and CT scan. That is when I was diagnosed with Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease and a 4.6 cm aortic aneurysm. Although I am scared to death to have the surgery I am also thankful that I get to have it. Being a single mom to a nine year old I feel so blessed to have found this problem in enough time. I am also so glad to have found this website because my support for this process has been a bit lacking. It's nice to be able to hear stories of people who are going and been through the same journey as me.
