Amen to that! No celebrity or sports star can ever do what the doctors and nurses do, and that is saving lives!

Agree with both of you. My surgeon and his team save my life too. I have never had a sport figure or celebrity as my hero, some of them could care less about the plight of others. We have seen the medical profession and their staff on the frontline of... Read more.

You betcha! They are all dedicated and caring. My surgeon has been known for getting a call at the airport while he was going on a vacation with family. Rather than let his associate handle it, he postponed his vacation. I know a CICU nurse who works with him and... Read more.

I will be forever greatful for the care he gave me and getting my son's request granted but that's where it ends with that. He gave me a new life to live with such a beautiful scar that I'm proud to show off

I felt tremendously thankful and almost in awe over what cardio thoracic surgeons can do. It is a miracle, and yet it is their everyday job!

Yes. I felt like he saved my life and he had such a great bedside manner to compliment his amazing thoracic skills. I will forever be grateful to him. And to God for orchestrating the whole ordeal.

I can relate to your feelings, Dave. I just saw my surgeon today, exactly one year post surgery and I have great results and feel so thankful.

I have more of an attachment with my cardiologist. I do have great respect for the surgeon and also for my TAVR team. I have feelings of sadness for my surgeon because he couldn't get to my heart during OH surgery. I was his first unsuccessful surgery in over 28... Read more.

For what it's worth...I just found out this is the exact type of surgery I had. I had Bentall procedure with Konect Resilia 29 mm tissue aortic valve and ascending aortic conduit.
