You've been through a great battle and come out victorious!! Funny, your scar looks very familiar...;-)! My husband is 14 years post and you can barely see his scar- it faded within a year. You will be amazed! Best wishes!!

Night before I have a esophageal scope to look at the mitral valve. Never been put to sleep. Nervous. Already diagnosed with mild regurgitation and moderate stenosis as well as aortic aneurysm. Last step before surgery.

Hi Anthony...I've had several TEE procedures. Staff is great..will help you thru stuff. Just relax as you can..think of something pleasant..next thing you'll be awake. Then you can take a good nap!!

Good luck tomorrow. My last echo was a TEE. It wasn't so bad. The thing I liked was the cardiologists do it, so you get results immediately. They had planned to admit me for surgery based on last echo, but my heart function improved, so they let me go. Pleasant... Read more.

And, also found out my bicuspid aorta is actually a tricuspid with an immobile 3rd commissary. The 3d TEE really give them better pictures. Maybe you will have some time.
