Not sure what you are asking exactly, but I can tell you that I would do cardioversion again, in a heartbeat. It was so simple, I literally didn't even know they did it. I remember crying with my wife after because my Afib was finally gone. My afib was bad. My carotid artery in my neck would pop and jump around all the time. So I was so happy when it was gone!! When I was laying on the table, I said to my Cardiologist, when are we doing this, he said " already done" that's how simple it is. They give you an anesthetic pill, I believe it was..and then it takes them hardly any time at all. ..i dont know what my EF was, but it likely wasn't very good during Afib...Hope this helps.

Yes and yes! I was on high doses for about 3 months after my surgery because of bouts with AFib. It affected my eyesight and made my nearsightedness worse. It also affected my lungs. The optometrist confirmed the first statement but nobody would confirm the second about the lungs. I did have three different doctors tell me I needed to get off of it..my brother who is a doctor, the ER doctor and the hospitalist. At my insistance, they switched me to Multac which is very expensive but less side affects. My advice would be not to stay in it long term. But listen to your doctor and ask lots of questions about my long term use. I do believe it's meant for short term. Hope this helps.
