Lilly Black My surgeon took the picture when he cut out my natural diseased valve. This valve was 63 years old! He showed it to my son and husband when they were in the waiting room waiting for my surgery to be completed on Dec 10, 2014! Crazy, isn't it?

Lilly Black Yes me too, Eddie. I was speaking to someone whose husband already had his for 10 yrs inside his body. He's also in his sixties like me. I'm hoping mine lasts for 18 yrs as I have been told initially. Then I will be a candidate for TAVR (valve in valve) procedure. By then, technology will have advanced, and it will be a piece cake! :o)

Lilly Black Elaine, thank you! yes I am very lucky to be here. There is so much natural beauty here. How are you doing? I actually had a melt down yesterday so I intervened by taking anti-anxiety meds. I want this done and over-with and behind me, but there is so much more to be completed and orchestrated on my end. Until then I will take one day at a time, and try to keep things in perspective.
