A year ago today, I received the gift of a mended heart! Grateful to Dr. Gillinov, the Cleveland Clinic, family, and friends who supported me so well before, during and after. I'm especially thankful for Adam and the cheerleaders in this group who gave me such hope and encouragement. Life... Read more.

Four weeks today since surgery! Standing strong! 💙🇺🇦💛
Is this a before surgery or after picture? I know its after. You look fabulous ginny. An adams angel for sure.
I never looked this good at all after OHS. Actually, maybe not even now.😎. Keep it going. You're a heart warrior, an Adam's angel and a super star!
There was a lot of vetting prior to the adams angel heart. Looks played a huge role. I am very shallow. But proud of it. Maybe a movie" shallow richard".
You two are kind. I'm doing better each day. Richard, how is Cassie? Thinking of you.
Another good day today. By good i mean only a slight limp. I have to be realistic that her disease is terminal but we are taking each day as it comes and praying we still have some quality time left. I know there are some tough days ahead and i... Read more.
Ginny, you look wonderful! If I posted a picture of me four weeks out, I'd never have made Richard's angel criteria. So glad you are doing well!
Rose , you're a beautiful person. That's what it's really about. That has been what has impressed me the most about the posters on adams site. Caring about others but sharing the same heart valve surgery.
Ginny - Congratulations on your 4-week anniversary! You look fantastic! All the best with the remainder of your recovery! ❤

Looking good Ginny, continued good health and recovery. God bless you
Rose, anyone who has a successful relationship with a richard must be pretty special. We are a unique breed and very picky when it comes to mates. I made my son a richard Edward jr. To keep the tradition alive. Sadly he has not been lucky enough to find a... Read more.

Leaving Cleveland…Texas bound!
Ginny - You look fantastic! No one would ever guess you just had heart surgery.
Ginny, I am curious as to why you chose to stay in Cleveland several days following your discharge. My plan is to return to Texas by air the day following my hospital discharge. Did you remain there for medical reasons? Your guidance would be helpful.
Wow you look amazing!!! I was not feeling as great as you look the day I left hospital. So good to see you on recovery side!
Randy - My Surgeon discharged me on day 4 and did not require me to stay, however, I am only 1.5 hrs away by car if I needed to be there. His office also scheduled my post op visit via Telehealth so I would just talk to your surgeon and... Read more.
Thank you Heather. My wife will be with me the entire time. I will notify the airline per your suggestion. For others travelling to Cleveland, the hospital offers a free private car to go to and from the airport.
