A good stimulating work week and wednesday blood test follow up continued to show that my Warafarin treatment is stable. I have a mechanical aortic valve and so far the values have varied very little durin 1,5 years. Continues my running plus light gym training twice per week and also padel once per week with wife, kids and some of their cousins. Since the weather here in Gothenburg,Sweden slowly gets a bit warmer I hope for the first 18 hole golf round, some work in the garden and some good food during the weekend. I am so happy to feel that I have got back the energy, and to all of you set small goal, try to reach them and see how far it will take you.

Henrik Lindeberg I got good inspiration and guidance from this site when I spent 2 weeks waiting in London and then 2 weeks in Gothenburg. 4 week of just waiting in hospitals. Then I got good guidance from the medical team with rehab at the hospital 3 times per week for 2 months. Then they took me in April 2025 for anerysm repair of the artery to the right kidney, did not get it tight, new try in July 2025 but in the end they had to close so much so most of the right kidney died. Rehab again. The medical teams all gave the same direction,really focus on small steps and I also met up with others with similar challenges. Family also helped me to continue the days it felt tough and there have been many of theses days on this journey. Then I also have a job which I love so to come back there each time have also been a great medicine

Greetings from Sweden. Back from the first ski vacation with family 1.5 years after my aortic valve replacement and double repair of my anerysm on the kidney aorta. Both down hill and x-country. Amazing what the medical teams can do. Bringing me back to my physical status i had like 20 years ago and allows me to enjoy skiing again.

Henrik Lindeberg Thanks a lot for the nice words. I am extremely lucky and have recovered well and been focused on my rehab and back on a good training , activity level and back working 100% after 2 months of sick leave after the surgery . That said we all need to take it from our own situation, we all have different challenges but do not give up do the best you can and see how long that will take you.

He was 20 years then, he broke my ribs. :-) When I asked him if he knew CPR he said they had practiced in school when he was like 16-17 and he remembered that they said it is better to do something than nothing
