Ginny Turner  Hi Deena and thank you for the note! Tomorow will be 4 weeks since surgery and you're right - I'm feeling better each day. We had a cold and rainy week last week but looking forward to sunshine ahead. I can't wait to get out for walks in the neighborhood!

Ginny Turner  Thank you, Sharon, and glad to hear you’re doing so well one year out! I can’t brag enough about my experience at the Cleveland Clinic. I was released yesterday and every person we came in contact with was professional, respectful and caring. Top notch in every way!

Ginny Turner  Thank you, Deena and Holly. It’s hard to believe I’m really at the front of the line! Your support and encouragement have made all the difference.

Heather Kelly  You are in surgery now and just want you to know my husband and I just said a prayer for your procedure. God is with you! Take care and talk soon.

Ginny Turner  Thank you for checking in, Jay. Monday will be 8 weeks since surgery and I'm doing very well. Walking over 2 miles a day now, back to driving, doing more things around the house and resuming some of my normal routines. We don't have a cardiac rehab program in our small town, so I am doing an at-home program with lots of walking and exercises on our home equipment. I'm grateful to be making good progress. How is everything going for you? I hope recovery has gone well and you're feeling great! 

Jay Heagerty  So good to hear Ginny! I am doing well, pretty much back to my normal routines. Still working out four or five days a week and walking about 20 miles per week. Feeling good seven months post op. Take care and keep up the great progress!

Ginny Turner  Thank you so much, Joan. It sounds as if you are doing well as your surgery approaches. I spent the better part of last year learning what I needed to know and making decisions. This community was invaluable in easing my fears and boosting my confidence in the outcome. If you haven't come across George Gardopee's journal, perhaps you would find it helpful. George is from PA and had his surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in November of last year. He wrote a detailed recap of his mitral repair experience in his 11.24.21 post - I'll link it below. I'll be thinking of you in the days to come, knowing you'll have a mended heart soon and be on your way to a healthy and happy 2022.
