My multi-purpose service dog and me in my hospital bed after my open heart surgery. I’m clutching my heart bear and my Service dog is very gentle.
I woke up two days after my surgery due to complications and it also happened to be my 25th birthday.

Richard Munson What a great picture. I love it. My cassie had to wait till i got home but she hopped on the bed, put her head on my chest and did not move for 3 hours. It was the first picture i posted after finding this great site. We finally had to coax her off the bed with food as her gigantic head was starting to hurt. When we are not 100%, they know. Best of luck to you and your wonderful dog and best friend.

Dave Raynor Wow! I had my open heart surgery 11 days after my 68th birthday. I had an aortic root replacement and an Edwards Lifesciences aortic tissue valve replacement. I did the tissue valve because my lead surgeon said I would not have to be on Warfarin after about 6 month. Well...here it is 9 months later and I'm still on Warfarin to keep my INR in check. There are some other reasons this is been prolonged but compared to the alternative...not a big deal. Hope you heal well...Love the dog!!! Dave R
