Home! Actually got released yesterday and this is my “wait, did I really only need to spend 3 days post op to go home” face.

Alan Jamieson Naomi - I didn't get any guidance other than to not sit in the front seat. I was wearing an incision shield, so that helped with discomfort, but we hit a few pot holes (ahh, DC streets) and let me tell you - those did not feel good.

Recovery is going well, with a few downs, along with many ups.

One week left. Feeling a little anxious, but not too much. I give a lot of credit to this community and the great success stories that y'all have. Went ahead and took care of my beard and, while I was at it, shaved my head to make it easier post-op.

Diane Esposito Alan an Naomi, I am only 1 day post surgery and have been up and walking around the hospital hallways. It was so much easier than I expected! Yes, my chest and upper back hurt but the pain meds handle it nicely. Tomorrow the chest tubes come out! And I’m being moved to the regular ward room from the CICU.
