Hi Lori, pain and fatigue on day 2 was the worst when the nerve block wore off. After that I got better pretty quickly. Day 2 they woke me up at 530 for X-ray and I immediately got in the chair and waited for breakfast. Walked that day. I think... Read more.

Thank you Peter! I’m very nervous about the whole thing. Hope I do as well as you! My surgery is scheduled at Stanford Hospital in Northern California. My surgeon is the chief of cardiothoracic surgery there.

Thanks Adam. Everyone has been great during pre-op today. This place is big, clean, and very modern. The Varsity Club has pretty good sandwiches (when I was allowed solid food). Will post when I can.

Peter, Great to hear the pre-op is going well. Yes, I've been fortunate to visit Dr. Badhwar at WVU Heart and Vascular in Morgantown. That cardiac center is beautiful. 😀
