Robert Miller Very nice!! Great you made it up there! Reminds me of Mission Peak (because of that pole). Our son just went there a few months ago. Not as high, not as many mountains but pretty nice view. Yosemite was were I hiked after my second surgery.

Robert Miller One year I went there with no reservation. Also in my 20s. No camping place and no motel/hotel available. So I went to a dirt road outside the park sleeping in my old car. Police still found me and chased me away... So I drove further away, slept in the car and went back in the next day. Ansel Aadams, the photographer, is famous for Yosemite. I hiked around there with a big camera backpack and a small backpack with some spare cloths attached to it. Good old times... Now I just use my cellular phone and make reservations...

Fidel Martínez Ruiz No Richard, it's Pradoluengo (Longmeadow), my hometown, a village with1.200 inhabitants. The big building is the church. I've relatives there, an auntie 90 y.o. and cousins. It snowed the other day December 23.

Luz, my wife and me got married late, at 52 and 60 y.o. Till then I've been and old bachelor lol ! But now,yes, I have a good group of friends from hers and mine. Fidel Martínez Ruiz Deena, in Burgos, it's usual eat blood sausage in two versions, made with rice (in my village) or with onion in Burgos town, but any time in the year but in summer. It is very cold in winter. The typical of Easter here is a delicious sweet made of bread soaked in milk with cinnamon and lemon peel, after battered in egg and finally fried.

Deena Z Fidel,Torrijas! Had to look it up. Similar to what we call “french toast”, except in Spain you fry the bread in olive oil and in the US we fry it in butter. Yet another reason Spaniards live longer than US Americans. 🤣🤪
