About Me

After being short of breath and this condition increasing,my family doctor was very persistent in trying to find the cause. Thankfully after thorough testing an aortic aneurysm (51mm) was discovered. Later test revealed a bicuspid aortic valve with calcification, stenosis, and tiny leaking. Currently I am awaiting a decision from a surgical team. I will update Hopefully soon. So an update. I was very close to a firm surgery date of Fall this year. Bloid transfusion came up in the discussion which halted progress. Now im being monitored again annually...so not till next year for a follow up. I saw videos on here stating that blood transfusions are rare with OHS. I am open to pre banking my own blood if it becomes a need .Also building up my blood pre surgery. Im really down about the whole situation. If anyone had a similar experience please reach out. And Thanks again to Adam for this encouraging site!!!
