This site has been a HUGE help for me the last couple years, before AND after my Ross procedure. I’ve met some amazing heart warriors that I still talk to this day. Thank you Adam for helping so many people and creating this website. You have inspired so many of us.

Im 35, and was born with aortic stenosis. It eventually became Unicuspid, and I had severe regurgitation and an aneurysm as well. I recieved the Ross procedure in June of 2022, at age 33. My heart journey has been lengthy, with so many thoughts and emotions and anxiety and depression and highs and lows and the list goes on and on.

My PASSION now is to HELP, INSPIRE and SUPPORT other heart warriors! Connect with other warriors, get them connecting, asking questions, relating to one another. Let them know they’re NOT alone!

Well there it is.. my own Ross procedure in tattoo on my arm! This was drawn from a photograph of my actual heart during my open heart surgery. Notice both the aortic valve and pulmonary valve sutures, as well as the Dacron graft.

Hi yall. Almost 18 months post Ross procedure. Life is going well! It was time to get my next tattoo… the start of a full sleeve, here is a lighthouse. The lighthouse represents guidance and navigation, helping sailors navigate in stormy seas to find their way home. And in tattoo form, represents finding direction in one’s own life, making important choices, and staying true to one’s own path.

I think this couldn’t be more true for how I feel now with my new lease on life.

Looked everywhere for this guy…. He said he was somewhere on the west coast.. I kept driving south, and look who I found in southern Oregon! My Ross brother Timothy Andre!!! 

1 year post Ross. (This pic was taken a month and a half after surgery) I think the scar represents who we are. What we can fight thru, what we can conquer and overcome. It tells an amazing story, a journey. We were born to have this strength, and pass that strength onto other Heart Warriors. Dont be afraid to show it off... Tell your story.
