I am here at least a few times a week. I'm 7 months post aortic valve/root replacement and aortic aneurysm repair. There are also many more who have had surgery who post regularly on the site. Ask and we shall respond...

Still posting 2 years on.... I hear you on the fear, Kathi. It's hard. Surgery is relatively safe these days. That doesn't mean recovery is easy, just that surgery itself is safer. But every case is singular.

I had a pig valve 1 1/2 years ago. October 9 will be my 2 year anniversary. Still ticking strong .
