My mitral valve rpair went flawlessly on Monday. I'm haveing my chest tubes removed today. Thanks to everyone on this site for your stories.

My mitral repair went flawlessly today. Chest hurts a bit, but not enough to keep me from being overwhelmed wih gratitude for all the people in my life who made the surgery possible and the ones who will love me through my recovery. Much love to all those with upcoming... Read more.

I'm one week away from OHS for mitral repair, possibly replacement depending on how it goes. My surgery is just 2 months our from being in the ICU for atypical pneumonia and ARDS. The trauma from nearly dying and being intubated for 4+ days has me pretty wary about returning... Read more.

I hear you Mike. Try to voice your need to the hospital staff that "special attention" be paid to what you already experienced. ICU is a scary place and I'm sorry you had to go through what you went through.

Well 3 more days to surgery so very nervous! Aortic valve replacement also bypass graft !. I feel like I have been in a whirlwind for the past 3 months. God bless everyone of you. I find myself praying for everyone on the site
