I'm 8 weeks out today and still can't exercise as my blood pressure drops. Has anyone else hadthis problem? I had a aortic & mitral valve replacement with a MAZE procedure.

Nothe here. I got turned away from rehab on more than one occasion for numbers that were way too high. Hope you can get some answers.

I'm on day 11 of having atrial & mitral valve replaced along with a MAZE procedure. Unfortunately, I am still in hospital after having my esophagus torn a little and on 2 weeks of no food or liquids to eat. Will retest on Monday to see if it's healed. Sure... Read more.

So glad your surgery is over. So sorry you had this terrible "side effect". So many "unexpected" things can happen. Hang in there Jane.

Jane, Blessings that you have gotten through the hardest days and have so much better health to look forward to. We will keep you in prayer that the tear heals rapidly and completely and you can feed that healthy heart in a much more celebratory way soon!

I'm so sorry that you have that "tear" to deal with. I am constantly amazed at how complex the human body is, and everyone's story is different. I'm praying for healing for you!

By the time you read this, it will be all over, and you can concentrate on getting better. Keep the nurses hopping, ask lots of questions, and get lots of rest.
