I was diagnosed with a heart murmur 22 years ago..said I had a leaky mitral valve that was leaking a "9" on scale of 1 to 10...and 10 means surgery. Promised surgery within 10 years. 22 years later, it's time. At my Oct. 6 six month checkup this year cardiologist said time to go for a TEE. Had that a week later, then a heart cath a week later. Moving way too fast! Now have MVR scheduled on Dec. 16 with Dr. Ryan at Heart Hospital, Plano, TX.
