I officially made it through to the other side on Monday, Oct 23. The first two days were the hardest, but things got better when I was able to go to the regular cardiology floor. Boy, people were not kidding when they said I would be tired.
Great news Heather. Please keep us posted on how you're doing.
Great news! You did it! Walking and resting - that's pretty much going to be your schedule for the next few weeks, but you will see continuous improvement. Speedy recovery!
Congratulations! Things will get better slowly. Be patient...
Congrats. Tired is the understatement. Napping is now my favourite daytime activity
I was too tired after OHS to watch TV, and certainly too tired to post for several weeks... Take care and rest...

Hang in there Heather. You've got this. It will be okay. Think positive thoughts and don't allow worry and fear to control you. I did exactly what Terry Goin described. I reminded myself of those who have experienced valve surgery before me and healed successfully. Keep positive.
Heather, I was pretty nervous early on. My nerves were at their worst when I joined the community and that was about 3 weeks prior to surgery. It gets better and then, as surgery approaches, it gets a little bit worse. The night before is really tough. But hold it... Read more.
