Send Nancy a NoteAbout Me
I was diagnosed with moderate to severe aortic stenosis 2 years ago and was told to monitor It yearly with my cardiologist. Last year while out walking my daily 2 mile route, my neighbor- a pediatric cardiologist- stopped to chat and said I should ask my cardiologist for an "executive"
stress test to be performed. (I don't think he wanted me to drop dead in his driveway!) Anyway, I asked that the test be preformed and as it turns out, my stenosis has advanced to the critical stage. My friend said I may have saved my own life, but I will wait to pat myself on the back until after a successful surgery. In the meantime, I wait and worry about every aspect of surgery and recovery.š³
