Hello HVS Community: It has been quite some time since I last post but I do read the HVS monthly newsletter.
Here's some up-to-date info about me...
I'm 23 yrs + six months into my DHVR's (mitral & aortic), eight yrs. pacemaker, 16 yrs since being diagnosed with a-fib. Just recently I turned 70 yrs old and in excellent health... All by the grace of God and my motto, 'keep moving to keep moving.' Last year, my Cardiologist deemed it necessary for me to only come in for checkups once a year and not every six months.
I am sure that there are others doing as well, so let's hear from you!
Cheers to this website and thanks, Adam!!
Carol here (Birmingham, AL)... 67 years old and have been retired for twenty months. Having two mechanical heart valves (Mitral & Aortic) 20 years and six months, a pacemaker (2009) and being diagnosed with A-Fib in 2001 does not hinder me from doing things that I enjoy. Life is good and I attribute all things to God who has sustained me with His grace and mercy all the days of my life. My exercise routine includes walking two miles 3 - 4 times a week + attending a fitness class twice weekly. For those of you just beginning this journey... DON'T GIVE UP, STAY STRONG AND ENDURE THE STORM!
