It makes perfect sense Kimberly B.. After all, apart from our own families, it's great that we have each other !!!! This has been an awesome group of ""open hearted"" individuals.

Kimberly- Beautiful gesture of Love-Great accent to the healing incision which is also a thing of beauty. Bless both of your Hearts and a Happy New Year to you as well. Thank you for sharing such a treasured time in your life!

5 weeks - 5 1/2" sternotomy and tubes. Scabs off.

It drives me crazy that it is crooked!!!!

Looks like it's healing great Kim 😊 I think it might just be the angle you look at it or your breast tissue-mines on part of my breast tissue which makes it lean. I notice you have two separate holes on each side where the tubes had been-I have one... Read more.

Looks fabulous! It's very thin and give it a few months and you'll hardly see that. Mine seems to be very pronounced at the top, veers to one side and I've got what looks like Chinese writing at the bottom of mine from the drains and pacing wires.

I agree Sophia, it's very thin (so it will heal nicely) & looks great!

Looks really good Kimberly. My chest tubes were under my breast, one area still not healed (at 1 month today) Keep on healing! ❤️

That looks good! I do not understand the curve myself - but it looks so good - you are very lucky! Kim so glad to see you have this behind you.

Kimberly, that looks so good!! I hope mine heals that nicely. Still have that derma bond on and it looks thick and bloody still.

Looks great! Mine's crooked too, unless I drape my right arm across the top of my head, then it's nice and straight. My scar has been flat and barely noticeable since about 14 months post op. Still itches sometimes though.

Yours right now looks better than mine at 2 years......oh well!

Once healed at about 2 months, I began alternating applications of vitamin E oil and Mederma. My 9" scar is barely viewable with a thin white line and some slight pink discoloration around the incision line. I've not followed a consistent routine and occasionally miss days. The results have been... Read more.
