J Alexander, Dr. Christoper Burke was my surgeon. He's the best in the area for Rosses. He does other heart surgeries as well.

Thanks John and do you see a rank and file cardiologist at UW too? Whom is so?
2 months ago (May 26, 2026)
My cardiologist is Dr Oscar Briseno with Skagit Regional. I live in Island County and driving north into Skagit is a lot easier for me than driving south into King County. Right now, I do my testing at UW on my surgeon's schedule and have it sent to my cardiologist.... Read more.

I will make my goal of running a 5k distance by my 6-month anniversary on Saturday. I would have done it today but my run was 0.15 miles too short.

That is still amazing to go that far. Great job, you WILL make it this weekend.

Thanks, everyone. I met my goal by running 4.2 miles in 63 minutes on a -3% incline. Running declines is a little easier on the heart and a little tougher on joints and quads.
