I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse in the mid 1990's. It's always been a bullet point on my annual exams, and I've been seeing a cardiologist for the last several years. This year (2026), my cardiologist says that my heart walls and my ejection fraction are changing, and I have a limited amount of time to deal with it before it affects my longivity. So...on May 15, 2026, I had robotic Mitral valve repair. The surgery was successful, and my recovery is in progress.
