Bob M I am truly blessed! On December 10th, I walked up Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Exactly 1 year before, I had open heart surgery for replacement of my aortic valve with a bovine valve. Today, my heart is stronger than before my surgery because of my Guardian Angel (my wife Kris), doctors, nurses, therapists, Adam Pick and our outstanding Community, and I am very appreciative. For those who are waiting for their surgeries, I pray that their surgeries will be textbook. For those who are recovering, I pray that your recoveries will be uneventful. For all heart sisters and brothers who are on the other side, God Bless and Rise Up!

Day 2 after heart surgery. I was moved out of ICU and into a normal room. Still had tubes and wires coming out of my chest, but I walked 4 times in the hallway with the assistant from a walker.

Bob M THANKSGIVING! I returned to my Hospital, Northwestern Medicine at Central DuPage Hospital. Above is the flyer that was attached to a giant, heart-shaped pretzel from Gnarly Knots that I delivered to my heart surgeon's (Dr. James) office, my cardiologist's (Dr. Mushtaq) office, my surgery prep area, Cardiac ICU and the nurses station for my patient room. I really enjoyed delivering at least some gratitude for my doctors, nurses and caregivers. God bless and rise up!
