Like you, I don’t come on to this site so much now but I found it a great support when I was coming up to surgery and in the following months. I just checked in as today is my third year anniversary too. It’s great to have it all behind us and to know that life gets back to normal (as normal as it can be in these times!). Howdie! Remember feeling tired is not a step back it's just your body adjusting. So be sure to listen to your body and adjust your activity accordingly. You will be able to push more later but we want to avoid any false starts or overflowing the engine. Keep your stress levels down by not getting too connected too fast. Being a patient is your job right now and not an easy one. I am glad to hear you're sticking to your job description of "good patient". Keep putting that first and continue to breath and appreciate being connected in those stress free ways.

This is terrific! You are UNBREAKABLE. I new when I saw you right away that you'd continue being resilient! Now after this tune up you are going to be UNSTOPPABLE! I'm not sure how I am going to keep up with you but I will figure it out starting with daily doses of apple cider vinegar.

Hi Vanessa...happy to hear that all is well and you are on the road to recovery...I am scheduled to have Dr. George do my AVR on Fri April 7th.. Last week my husband found out that he will need the same surgery as soon as I am recovered...we have both been monitered by our cardio dr. for years...now we have both processed to the severe catagory so the surgery must be done.. Looking forward to feeling better.

Dearest Vanessa, You are in one of the best hospitals with extraordinary staff. Procedures are so improved since my aorta heart valve replacement in 2010 at NY Presbyterian when I was 58. I am living proof that you will feel fabulous and energized again in a few days. All will be well. Love, Lynn
