2019 Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference Announced!

By Adam Pick on May 28, 2019

As up to 35% of patients with heart valve disease are diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, I wanted to make sure you knew about the upcoming “Get in Rhythm! Stay in Rhythm” conference to be held in Dallas, Texas on August 9 to August 11.

This patient conference is hosted by StopAFib.org, a great patient education website managed by Melanie True Hills, an extraordinary patient advocate.  During the event, you will learn the most up-to-date research and treatment approaches that may help you get rid of AFib!

At this special AFib patient conference…  You will meet hundreds of AFib patients and their family members.  Together, you will learn how to best manage AFib and reduce the risks and symptoms associated with an abnormal heart rhythm.   There are currently up 6.1 million people living with AFib in the United States alone, according to the Centers for Disease Control.  And, according to the American Heart Association, patients with atrial fibrillation are 5 times more likely to have a stroke.  Yikes!

I’m hopeful this event will help you learn about AFib and better understand how best to treat this dangerous disease.

Here are highlights from the 2018 “Get in Rhythm. Stay in Rhythm.” atrial fibrillation conference for patients.

During the conference, you will hear from and meet leading doctors that specialize in AFib treatment including Dr. Hugh Calkins, Dr. David Callans, Dr. Ralph Damiano, Dr. Mark Link, Dr. Andrea Natale, Dr. Doug Packer and Dr. Randall Wolf.

Keep on tickin!
Adam
