It’s been awhile since my last update… Just got great news from Dr Roselli here at Cleveland Clinic… he told me all looks great from the David Procedure he did 1 year ago and that I’ve graduated from the surgical program! ✅ 👍🏻 Thanking God and my amazing Rhonda for bringing me thru this! In August, I was able to ride my bicycle 425 miles over a week as part of Project Hero Ride 2 Recovery a program that helps wounded Military Vets and First Responders get their health and wellness back. Am cheering on those of you awaiting or considering surgery. Am so thankful for those ahead of me whole paid it forward… pls let me know if I can help any of the HVS family with my experience. Hi HVS Family and Friends, I am getting discharged later today. God has guided Dr Roselli to spare my aortic valve by repairing my leaflets. I went from 46% to 0% leakage/regurgitation. The recovery had lots of ups and a few downs to include a collapsed lung and a really brutal intubation tube hour in the worst pain cave… but all of these were overcome by the Cle Clinic Team. I could not have done this without Adam Pick’s Book, this website and community. I was able to better converse with the docs and medical team which totally gave me the confidence to get thru the first week. I know that recovery really starts today as I detach physically from the Cle Clinic mothership so I am going to rest and keep on ticking as Adam encourages us! If I can be of any assistance to those contemplating or awaiting surgery pls let me know how I can help.

This is Rhonda.  Tim is getting out of a successful Heart Valve “Repair” Surgery this evening!  God heard our prayers and we are Grateful beyond words!  Thank you to everyone for keeping Tim and myself in your prayers during this delicate time!

We made it to Cleveland Clinic and have completed all the pre-op appointments. Am so thankful for Dr Roselli taking his time after all day in the OR to talk through his plan. Surgery is set for Monday morning at 10 am. This hospital is truly amazing.

I am about two weeks out from going to Cleveland Clinic for my surgery.  As many others in this community have shared... the anxiety, anticipation, and the shear awe about what is about to happen is fairly overwhelming.  I am reminded of God's grace when I think about the people who have emergency heart surgery and have "zero time" to process all of this.  The four months during which God has allowed me to contemplate my "routine" surgery, has allowed me to connect and discuss all of this with family, old friends, and new friends on HeartValveSurgery.com. I know that God has his hands on this entire situation and I feel very blessed to have Dr Roselli as my surgeon.  Thanks in advance for all your thoughts, prayers, and support as Rhonda and I embark on this journey.
