Rita Savelis  I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling this way but your hnesty is important. Others expect us to pop back and be well immediately perhaps even more perfect versions of our imperfect selves. Depression after heart surgery happens 60% of the time. Anger is an expression of depression. I encourage you to be vocal and honest with your cardiologist and GP. Talking to a therapist can help. Taking meds can help. Honesty is always helpful. I'm sorry because the emotional pain of depresssion is difficult. It passes, but not immediately.

Fidel Martínez Ruiz  The first thing to ask is how you feel physically. I think you're fine. In this case, then, perhaps you unconsciously feel mistreated by fate; your sensitivity increases, and you direct that aggression toward others. 😘

Fidel Martínez Ruiz  I good way to go would be to accept one´s own misfortures. As stoic philosophers say "life itself is neither good nor bad, but a place for good and evil, depending on your attitude toward it". 

Margaret Fielden  I can empathise with your feelings. My mitral valve replacement and tricuspid repair was almost eight months ago. Severe complications post op and experiences in intensive care have left me feeling a very different person, physically and emotionally. I have had tremendous help from a wonderful person on this site and I hope you will find help here. I am considering help for PTSD. Maybe a counsellor would help you explore your feelings? Open heart surgery has a huge impact on body and soul. So good that you can be honest about how you feel. You won't  be the only person on this site to have troubled emotional reactions. I hope you find peace and a new expression of yourself

Susan Lynn  As Rita mentioned,  cardiac depression is a real post-op condition.   Think of it the same way as you would any other medical problem and seek treatment.   There's lots of life ahead.   You should enjoy it!
