About Me

I was unconcious on February 11th this year and broke two spinal vertebrae when I fell. A 'TIA' on April 13th meant further hospitalisation, at this time my mitral and tricuspid valves were found to get regurgitating and the mitral prolapsed with disjointed annulus. This was in Greece. I returned to the UK five days later and after a further hospital stay for breathing problems broke my spine again. Lots of tests and TEE later the severity of mitral valve and tricuspid disease means open heart surgery to replace the mitral valve and repair tricuspid. I am scared, the spinal fractures mean mobility is poor and I have comorbidities.
