I was wondering if there are many here who have had the valve-in-valve TAVAR? My Medtronic Mosiac porcine valve 21 is considered pretty small and the surgeon told me that they would more than likely have to do a Bioprosthetic valve fracture on it to assure a new larger valve... Read more.
I had a TAVR in 2020. To my understanding, when they do a TAVR, it crushes the old valve that it is replacing and fills in that space. I'm not really familiar with the valve you have, but it sounds like your team is working to get you fixed. Offering... Read more.
I was actually more nervous about the TAVAR than I was 20 years ago having the open heart. I am thankful for all the improvements in heart care since. Thankful for the group here too!

Well, it's 10 days out from my Heart Cath and TEE and tomorrow is the appointment with the surgeon from Rush. The radial artery in my wrist was used and my doctor told us afterwards that my stenosis was worse than expected. I guess I said that I'd rather have... Read more.

That's so funny. I told my cardiologist that I loved him after my heart catheterization!!!
I mentioned to my night nurse a little before midnight of my operation day that I felt so good that a Margarita sounded good.
