Send Penny a NoteAbout Me
I had Aortic Valve Replacement in 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Illinois at the age of 55 with a Medtronic Mosiac Porcine Valve. Now, almost 20 years later I am in the preliminary stages of having TAVR to replace that valve due to stenosis.
I got my new Medtronic CoreValve Evolut PRO on January 17! I spent one night at Rush and was home by 3pm the next day! Thanks to Dr. Kavinsky and the team that planned, reviewed and completed the surgery. The staff at Rush was awesome and I received very good care. My first time out of bed I "sprung a leak", one of the surgical sites opened but the quick action of staff got things under control. I spent another few hours on bed rest. I am amazed and grateful for the advances in Medicine that made this possible.
